Splitska plovidba - my sea time - 1984 / 1988
In 1984. I had joined shipping company 'Splitska plovidba' as Deck Apprentice on the general cargo vessel 'Bosut', abt. 4,000 DWT.
She was carrying different type of cargo such as still coils, pipes, grain, salt, wood, etc.,mostly calling Mediterranean ports.
I've come back joining 'Splitska plovidba' as able seaman in 1987 after completion of my navy service (obligatory).This time on cement carrier 'Jadro' abt. 1,500 DWT than general cargo vessels 'Cetina' abt. 6,000 DWT and 'Una' abt. 12,000 DWT.
Than after one year I was promoted to 3rd deck officer.
